This piece was inspired by a reference photo that stood out to me for its quiet intensity. I was drawn to the way the light reflected in the horse’s eye and how much emotion it could convey. Rather than a full portrait, I chose to focus on an eye study that captured the subtle textures and expressions that often go overlooked. It became an exploration of mood, light, and the gentle essence that horses carry.
