This piece started as a little gift for my husband, who is a wildlife enthusiast. I chose a mallard duck as a way to ease back into colored pencils, and what began as a simple test turned into a compact piece where the colors and details came together naturally. This drawing became a quiet milestone for me; a gentle reminder of how returning to art can start with something simple and still lead to something meaningful.
